The recently reopened La Dama is one of the most elegant and romantic restaurants in Barcelona. The interior has the feel of a private club.
It is set in Casa Sayrach, an architectural gem on the corner of Carrer Enric Granados and Avinguda Diagonal in the Eixample neighborhood. Casa Sayrach dates back to 1918, one of the last modernista mansions to be built.
The kitchen serves traditional French dishes, inspired by Mediterranean influences. Seafood has a strong presence among the starters, with choices like Bay scallops au gratin, Gillardeau oysters # 3 and mignonette dressing and Monkfish, lobster and octopus “Salpicón”.
Main courses include hearty dishes such as Beef “Bourguignon” with mashed potatoes and Risotto Milanese, white asparragus and cured “Mahón” cheese.
