Established in 2006, A Casa Portuguesa has been in its new location in Gràcia since January of this year. Over the past 10 years it has presented the best of Portuguese gastronomy and culture to Barcelona. Situated in Plaza Diamant, one of the most emblematic squares in the neighborhood, the 80m2 spaces offers permanent product concepts and several gastronomic “pop up” corners.

The shop stocks some of the best references of Portuguese wines and liqueurs, and you can taste the wine of the week, which is always on special offer.

The star product is the Pastelito de Belém (also known as Pastel de Nata in Portugal); a super crunchy puff pastry with an egg yolk cream. They are accompanied by a family of puff pastry with the same base but with creams using almonds, fresh cheese, chocolate, orange, or coconut. The process is manual, artisan and with fresh ingredients of the highest quality.

A Casa Portuguesa also uses the space as a co-shopping platform with various “pop up” corners showcasing products of recognized quality related to international gastronomy.
